Put in a auto reset 40 amp breaker a while back and recently its keep tripping on a stock 12 volt jeep. I have re wired everything and it keeps doing it. Here is the thing, it wont trip if the jeep has been sitting for a while (like over night) and then like clock work about 30 minutes of ride time it will start tripping. It will trip then a couple minutes later it will be fine then repeat till the jeep has sat for a while. The breaker is really hot to the touch as well.
I can only think that maybe the grease I used for the gearboxes is maybe to blame. Maybe I didn't put enough in there. I used Lucas White Lithium Grease Multi Purpose NLGI #2. Im gonna take the gearboxes off and put more in there but, do you think anything else could be causing the problem?
