Can a 30-40 amp fuse protect our grand kids car with a 12v upgrade to a 18 v? We did this last summer but towards the end of summer, the thermo protector was doing a super efficient job of protecting it by not letting it run very long at a time even with the original 12v supply powering of it.
If not, then where can I find these thermo protectors?
The Peg Perego folks have been very helpful the last two times I have called them about this failure. One with the original John Deer last summer and then again on a used one I bought that did not run until the new thermo was installed.
Thanks

most people axe that and use an aftermarket inline fuse holder(4A) or a self resetting 40A breaker fuse(like me). If I remember I'll take a pic of how I did it, it took all of 5 minutes and you still use the stock harness connector. If you cut away all the rubber covering the 'bulge' whats underneath is a 30A breaker connected via spade terminals. Its as simple as carving off the rubber covering, pulling out the stocker and then inserting the new 40A breaker.
