Need new batteries? Going from 12V to 18V or 6V to 12V? Wiring Questions?
#149348
Using a mix of parts from eastcoastpowerup (universal ESC) and mltoys (stage 4 motors/gearboxes) we made a sweet 24 volt mustang powerwheels conversion. It ran great. Today, however, we went to fire it up and it's dead. The battery is fully charged and the only thing that's functioning is the battery capacity gauge (reads normal voltage). Everything else is non-functional -- the throttle, lights, etc are not working. We did a visual and tactile inspection of every connection, but nothing seems to be loose or broken. Is it possible that the kid at some point tried to hook the battery up in reverse and blew out the ESC? I've been looking for some sort of ESC reset switch but had no luck. Not a gearhead or electrical whiz --if anyone has any troubleshooting ideas, I'd love to hear'em. Thanks in advance.
