Did a little work over the weekend on the kids Jeep Hurricane. With the new ML Toys gearboxes the 12v just wasnt cutting it for them going uphill. So I went to 24v and the batteries were just sitting in there while we "tested" it. They loved the new POWER it had so I made a more perminate mount for them.

I used spare parts I had laying around so no $$ was spent on this.
I used my dremel to cut out the section for the batteries.
Cut out a piece of 1/2" pressure treated plywood to set the batteries on.
Mounted a 1x8" aluminum flat bar under the jeep and ran two long bolts thru the aluminum then thru jeep body and cut another piece of aluminum flat bar to go on top of the batteries to "sandwich" them in. The top bar I wrapped with some rubber and put some shrink tubing around it to make it look neater. The nob-nuts really made a difference too. I bought them for another project years ago and never used them, kinda glad I did that b/c I love how this turned out.
