This a thread where you can post pics of all the fun stuff (and not so fun stuff) that comes along with free and roadside finds! ........ :o   :?

This was the inspiration for this thread............

HOLEY RODENT CONDO BATMAN!

stowaway 001.jpg

This was a trash find from last fall. You are looking at the tub of a peg quad under the seat....there is a gearbox in there somewhere! I have a buyer so I was tearing down for cleaning......good thing I did!

This one came in one of the Gauchos involved in the wrecker build. I Found this under a pile of leaves on the floor pan that came up past the dash.

There are many more.....but no pics

Man, this is definitely a thread that I'll check into but hope to never have to post pics on. "Trash-n-treasure" thread. ;)

You'll love this one.......

I'm stripping down the trash find Escalade from last week. I've removed the steering wheel and the dash. The front clip was only held on by 2 screws.......and when I removed it......

BONUS...brand new, protected from the elements, steering wheel! Right where the factory put it for shipping...complete with packing tape!

hauls stowaway 001.jpg

...so the same slub that put the stickers on the outside of the headlight lenses must have gotten a free warrenty steering wheel because they didn't get one in the box :P :P :P :P Not like those last two screw holes that would not line up where a big enough clue

...and.....um...boy, I hope that was dinner scraps.... :?

I just scored a Barbie Bean Patrol that I'm going to fix up for a friend's daughter.

In it was a doorknob and keys, another doorknob, two Nintendo DS games, and a TON of paperclips.

Just picked up a Barbie jeep, and I found some money under the seat! I always check under the seat. You never know what you will find under there.

Woohoo! Already made 10 cents on this flip.

wow I never check to see if anything is ever in the tank lol. I just check to see if the pump has pressure. I work remove the tank which is easy and see how much comes out when you turn it over. Hopefully its not crammed in the tank and they fall out for you.

The last time the book was assembled (a few days ago), we did have all the pieces. It has made through child #1 and #2 intact. I'm going for the moon shot that all the pieces make it through #3. Although, at 10 months age and teething, I've caught him gnawing on a few pieces like a dog does rawhide. :)

While testing a freebie Boy Quad I picked up last week, and my 7 year old says "It won't shift into rabbit..." I walk over to where he is at, and sure enoough, it won't go into high. The lockout screw is not in place, and my 5 year old was just riding it in high gear, so what the heck is stopping the shifter from going into high gear???

I tear into it, and this is what I found:

IMG_1033.JPG

The pennies got bounced in just the right position to stop the shifter from shifting.   Someone was using this quad as a piggy bank! More change behind the shifter:

IMG_1032.JPG

I am guessing the PO kids were putting them in like this, and they put a few into the shifter slot:

IMG_1035.JPG

And here is the total take on the freebie quad. :D SCORE!!!
