He's our PowerTech Slammer hotrod I have changed it over from 12v to 24v buy just changing the batteries. It already had a 24v Motor so seems at this stage to be running fine on 24v , top speed only around the 6-7miles on hard flat surface has next to no torque on grass.

Now for the lights I tried to keep the oldschool look so i did a lot on Google searches with rat rod\ hot rods.
of course the under body leds are not old school but I couldn't resist
all run off a 12v 2.2ah battery to keep the weight down.

Hey Darren did you get the slammer from the states? I tryed bidding on one on ebay in south australia a month back but missed out. went $175. not working either. I plan on building something similiar with the front end body of one of those tin red pedal cars (they have the grill but no exposed engine), build my own frame, go cart wheels on the rear , possibly spring shockies off a mountian bike or thumpster ,with a 36v 800w motor using the scooter speed controller etc. I'd like to build with a seat and a small wooden tray on the back so i can operate it and have my young bloke sit in the seat.

No came from here is Brisbane a work mates friend, I have seen a few on ebay some that have gone over the $200 mark , The last one I saw was mint & only went for $40 but typical ebay it's all luck of just who watching at the time. Your project sounds very cool make sure you post up so pictures when you start.

For everyone else this project has been holding up really well on 24v I had to change over the fwd\rev switch because the original became faulty & by doing that I found it made it go way faster even on grass it was the low amp switch holding it back , no goes around the 12miles top speed :D

I am still around but more of a stalker now a days , I just go on now & again to see what people are up to .
I still have a few of our favourites including our original gator with roof & electric bed lift , 1 x modified high torque 24v gaucho, 1 x John Deere Gaucho & also still have the slammer
I have a couple others as well projects that never got finished . My kids can still fit in them but my 8 year old son only just . After the ride on's we moved on to 24v/36v scooters & motor bikes I think we have about x 8 of them . We also took another step from them & have a few pocket rocket/ pit bikes as well all just 50cc.
Great projects guys keep them going!
