Anyone have experience with the Classic 1912 cars as in this link?
https://jet.com/product/detail/d2a300d7 ... code=PLA15

I bought one for my son because it was r/c but was quickly disappointed that it's not "digital proportional" r/c... it has forward and reverse but only a single speed. Also, the steering just locks left or right rather than being a fluid movement... i have years of r/c experience from my racing days, but since the system is all built into the car I was just wondering if anyone had any experience and tips for converting this from the crap factory r/c to an actual hobby style r/c controller and speed control setup...

Secondly: The car runs on 2 6v 7ah batteries in series (for 12v) I'd love to do a 18 or 24v conversion but also am afraid of harming the other features like the lights, horn and music that this thing plays... it's a cool ride but it could be so much cooler with a few mods.
