I have seen a couple people try stock power wheels on soft sand and it doesn't work. Has anyone come up with tires or made there own paddle wheels to ride in the soft sand? Maybe an aggressive mtn bike tire?

Your gonna need flotation tires in soft sand. The plastic tires will work on hard sand near the waterline but the risk of swamping your ride is high. I found some tires for making beach carts on a kayak website. Here are some beach/sand style tires/wheels. I suggest using the ones that are inflatable.

I bought some of the larger inflatable beach tires from the Kona surf shop for cheaper than anywhere on the internet. They don't list them on their website but they do sell them (14" tall & super wide).

I would add in that sand requires massive horsepower. It might be a challenge in motor durability and battery life
