Hey everyone, I stumbled across your forum here while nearly loosing my mind trying to fix a 12v ride on "little tikes" Jeep.
One of the gear boxes was grinding and slipping so I bought a pair of replacements from eBay.
Installed them and all is fine on full speed but on low speed one motor starts normally but very quickly slows to a crawl. Swapped motors around, still same motor slows.
Frustrated I ordered another thinking it was faulty, but same thing, even the two slowing motors one is dominant and the other slows down.
I multi metered the slowing motor and notice it's starting at around 5v then drops to nothing. The other motor actually rises in voltage.
I tried wiring both directly to a single 6v battery and put it on high and they both spin at the same speed (low speed as it's only 6v)
I even have a 2nd high low switch and new batteries (even tried a car battery)
Is
WHATS GOING ON?
