I have an unusually tall daughter who is now closer to six than she is five years old, and I can see that she is already approaching being too big for her beloved dune racer.

Before I start doing something new and potentially stupid here, has anyone tried to modify the Dune Racer to accommodate a taller kid? There doesn't seem to be much to work with, short of lengthening the frame, which I may do. I'm about to make her a 24v DR with the 770 speed-geared motors and pneumatic tires... so I'm really hoping that she can stay behind the wheel of that hot rod for a while longer.

Anyone have any advice for me?

I'd say stretching the Dune Racer is a fool's errand. What about making the seat or driver's position taller to cause leg flex? Putting a booster seat in, or raising the seat up to create a more chair like position will give her leg room.

**Just noticed the age of the post, so she's about 7 now, I hope the DR is done!
