First post was qa bust, so here goes again- Why have i read the beetle is a bastard in this world? is PW New Beetle an inferior toy in comparision to similarly budget priced ride ons? major weak spots? i garbage picked one two years ago almost,. and when my 1.5 year old couldnt steer well, i pulled its functional motor and trans and made it a pusher car, now hes three and tall and beefy and wants a ride on, thanks to my mother who lets him sit in the at Toys r US-thks MOM.. Has anyone belt driven one of these to bypass the seeminlgy poor geard trans, or underpowered motors>? I have an electric motor brand new from a real car with tremendous torque which could work great, but havent tested it yet-but seems to me id get beter performance out of direct drive, than fitting the brass gear to the motor, and sending power through those three plastic gears-Thoughts??
