for smaller 6v vehicles that NEED to be upgraded to 12v.

Hello all,

I have viewed & used suggestions from this site for some time after seeking improvements for my sons Super 6 McQueen. Now that I have the "bug" I'll call it, I got him the 12v Harley with boost button cheap @ tag sale.

I am trying to upgrade from 12v to 18v. I have searched the forum for specifics & haven't found an exact answer though chozian hinted briefly that he accomplished this. I have also seen the referenced section in the definitive wiring guide.

I have already swapped out the old PW battery for a 12v slr (think it's 7.5ah) as well as added an inline fuse. What I am hoping to accomplish:

Make it 12v full time with "boost" going to 18v
6v is way to slow for him! & holding the button he gets sore after a full battery

Is this as simple as adding a 6v same ah battery? I know on this model from chozian's post the boost button changes how motors are (series-parallel). I don't think both batteries will fit (even with modification to section under seat, is there better placement location?

Thank You in advance for any help or incite you can offer.
