for smaller 6v vehicles that NEED to be upgraded to 12v.

So I'm looking at my new Dune Racer Extreme.
The stock 12V battery that comes with it has the following dimensions:

5.31 x 4.25 x 5.5 (L x W x H)

My understanding is that should be the same dimensions for all 12V stock PW batteries (?).

Most of the posts/FAQs on this site state to use the following replacement battery:
Gruber 12v 12AH

However the stats on that (from the link above) state:

5.94 x 3.86 x 3.66

That would seemingly make it too large to fit.
I have measured the internal battery compartment relative to the stock battery and it seems a very snug fit. There is virtually no clearance on the height. The width seems to be locked in by two bottom channels running on either side of the battery (which could possibly be dremeled away, but would of course modify the body). Additionally, while it appears there could be some fudging on the length, there seems to be a plastic molding on the inside of the door which pushes snugly against the battery when closed (see red arrow in the below pic):

Now I could probably trim this piece of molding down/away. But, of course that would also be modifying the vehicle and it would mean the stock battery wouldn't fit as snugly.

It would seem then that the person in the pic here is using only a 10AH UB12100 battery but my searches show that is 6" long as well. Also worth noting is that the pic is from a video on you tube and the guy has a Dune Racer (not Extreme) model.

Where can I find a battery that is only as long as the stock one?
