vehicles with a circuit board controlling the motors

Hi-

I was using my 6v charger on our 12v battery which obviously didn’t work.

I now have our 12v charger hooked up to the battery through a new harness I purchased.

When it’s done charging I need to unhook the harness from the charger and hook the motor up to the battery.

Can I just splice the two reds together and the green and black together so I don’t have to disconnect and for charging?

Thx
