Have an Avigo Audi with a single rear motor. Original 6V car that I upgraded to 12v. No other mods except for removing the thermal switch near the battery (ha!). I just bought two new 12v motors from eBay but haven't installed them yet.

Kid was driving the car down a steep hill and I was running after her. I smelled that telltale melting wiring smell stopped her. Immediately saw some smoking, melted wires.

This car has no board and is very simple. On/off switch, forward/reverse switch, and a pedal. Guessing something shorted -
not sure how else the wiring gets that hot.

Will rewire, test switches and get new motors installed. Any thing I'm overlooking? And suggestions?

Thanks much.
