for 12v vehicles that NEED to be upgraded to 18v
#149742
I installed the turbo timer on a Jeep hurricane. It worked great but my daughter really struggled with pushing the button at the right times so I set it up to kick from 12 to 18v after a second or two of throttle (as described in the instructions). That worked well. We put it away for awhile and now when she uses it, the throttle cuts out instead of going into “turbo” mode after a few seconds. Any ideas? It’s pretty much useless as is so I’m hoping someone here can help me figure out what’s going on?

Sounds like one of the connections in the 6v circuit is loose or disconnected. When the timer tries to add the 6v battery in series with the 12v there is no path for the electricity to flow and it cuts power. Could also be something in the relay not functioning properly to fully make the connection. My first inclination would be to check to make sure all the 6v connections are good.
