for 12v vehicles that NEED to be upgraded to 18v

Just got my grandson Kaw Ninja 12 V(grey battery). Been reading a lot on this site, and figure I will just do a 18 V upgrade. Great info about shortened life span of quad if I do more major mods, and that this will be the easiest to do. I see that they have electric skooter 18V batteries with pretty decent A/H rating. Anybody doing this? Can it be done? Guess I am looking for 18V with extended ride time in only one battery if it is possible. Sorry if my ignorance shows. Its all new to me. Also what is the best bang for the buck replacement batteries with increased A/H. All helpp appreciated!!. thanks, Steve
