Need new motors? Grind a gearbox? Adding teeth to a pinion?
#148871
Hi all,

I wasn't sure the best thread to post this in, so sorry if its the wrong spot.

I'm hoping for some advice on purchasing an old PW Jeep i found online.
From what i can tell, i think its a metal frame Sandblaster. It's in rough condition but PW's are really rare and hard to find in Australia. Due to the lack of access to 2nd hand parts i don't know if i can rebuild it with newer model components?
Can these older models be retrofitted with more modern/available components or will it just be to hard without access to 2nd hand stuff?

Its pretty cheap at $30, but the shipping across Aus is pretty high.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sorry about the crappy pics.
Cheers!

Anything is possible with a little time and effort. Value is totally dependent on your situation (want, availability condition etc...). Modern powerwheel parts can be used with a little modification. That jeep looks very rough (parts missing too)and I wouldn't touch it for $30 (especially if I didn't know if the motors and gearboxes were in good working condition).
