Need new motors? Grind a gearbox? Adding teeth to a pinion?
#148949
EDIT: I found this post (viewtopic.php?t=17669) which should answer all my questions.

I have seen quite a few mods where people replace the stock plastic tires with rubber (lawn mower or otherwise). However, I don't see any example of how they adapted the gearbox to the new tires. I'm sure I could come up with a creative way of doing it, but there is probably a "right" way and I'd prefer that.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm sure examples have been posted. I just haven't come across them. FYI... I have a lot of tools, but I don't have a welder.

Tires were just suggestions by other modders, so other tires would work too.

I just bought better motors and plan on upping the voltage to 18v. We have thick (St. Augustine) grass in our back yard which is mostly where the kids ride. My motivation for doing this is because we need a little more get-up-and-go and traction.

Thanks
