Need new motors? Grind a gearbox? Adding teeth to a pinion?

Hi All,
My daughter's Escalade brakes aren't working anymore. The car coasts when she lifts her foot off the pedal which can be dangerous on hills. The brakes used to work but she pushes the Escalade out of the garage (afraid to use the reverse). Could that have caused damage?

I did some searching on the forums and found that all motors are connected together when the brake pedal is not depressed. I ohm'd it out and they are in fact all shorted together. Is there anything else I can do to test?

--Check for broken wire at foot pedal switch. If no broken or corroded wire, test pedal switch in the normally closed position (with plunger not depressed) from the common/center terminal to normally closed "NC" terminal for continuity/direct short/zero or near zero ohms.
-- The switch should be marked and it would be the terminals closest together. The wires should be RED to center/common and ORANGE to normally closed/NC.

--Pushing the vehicle would only cause stress on the gearboxes.
