Thank you for posting the photos of your upgrade. I may need to do something similar. My grandsons' Mario Kart recently stopped working. I did a little troubleshooting yesterday evening and have narrowed the problem down to the printed circuit board. I looked online and didn't find a seller for a replacement to this Jakks Pacific part. (Do you know if anyone sells the boards?) I'm thinking that maybe I should just go ahead and upgrade the electrical system like you did.
