Need new batteries? Going from 12V to 18V or 6V to 12V? Wiring Questions?
#150821
Hello everyone,
I got a Gaucho (first type i think) given for free as the person who had it said they thought it needed a new battery and didn't want the hassle of changing it. It wasn't until i got it home that ive seen the battery connectors have been cut and its been altered somewhat from other photos ive seen online. Ill update with a proper picture later but to give you an idea, ive this paint drawing (very technical i know :)

My problem is this, there are four wires connected to the old battery. Red and yellow to positive and blue and black to the negative. i had a battery in the garage so i tried to run it this way, it does run (think theres a high low problem but ill replace that later on) but it drains the battery after nine or ten minutes. also the gauges of the wires are bigger that in my house :) has anyone any ideas what i should do first? 30amp on the negative is something ive heard on here but where after that ? any advice, pictures or ideas will be greatly appreciated.Image
