Need new batteries? Going from 12V to 18V or 6V to 12V? Wiring Questions?
#150844
My kids went scavenging on garbage day and found a Gator XUV. It's dirty, faded and doesn't work.

I charged up and connected the battery directly to the motors and they both work...and so does the battery.

There's a problem elsewhere and I'm not sure how to bypass the pedal assembly and the shifter assembly (separately) to find the issue.

But I'm curious through my searching for replacement parts how the newer version (post 2016 it appears) only has one switch in the pedal assembly and prior to that, like the one my kids found, has two?

Why are there two?

How would it work with only one?

Thank you.
