I just picked up a Lightning McQueen powerwheel. It did not come with a battery, charger or pedal. Should I upgrade it to 12V to make it faster since I need to buy all of these new parts anyway. What would be the best way to do this?

I am wondering if it is the 6V or 12V version? There are two motors and gear boxes if that helps..

Thanks for the help!

Usually, USUALLY two motors/gearboxes is a good indicator that it's a 12v ride (it could be a super-six version also). Model number decal in battery compartment (if it's a power wheel brand)? Hobby masters has a great library of powerwheel manuals listed by model number.

Battery: aftermarket is cheaper.

Charger: Buy a 6v/12v universal smart charger rated at 1amp-4amps. I recommend Schumacher brand chargers but it's just my preference.

Pedal switches/assemblies are easy to find. Ebay, the wanted section here, Amazon, Hobby masters, etc...
